lieutenant-governor gavin newsom is giving up the show he's been doing on current tv as well. >>> the state has given the green light to install a special red light camera at a san francisco intersection. tara moriarty is live at market and octavio. >> reporter: good morning. this is the bike lane. you can see the bikers coming down the hill. they come to this spot right here where octavia crossing. it is sort of a dangerous intersection because a lot of cars try to turn right here when any are not supposed to. also cars coming in, not supposed to attorney right unless they have an arrow. so now the city is paving the way for red light cameras to be installed here. it's not only to provent red- light runners but the turn around the corner. this is one of the most dangerous intersections in one of the entire city. pedestrians an bicyclists have been hit by motorists making right-hand turns off market for years. >> it's a good why idea. this is a really dangerous intersection. i know a few people who have been hit. they need to slow things down and take into account the cyclists here. >
